The 2019 Spring meeting of the Florida Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine will be held at The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach, FL. A welcome reception will be held on the evening of Thursday, February 28th. A full-day of presentations will be held on Friday, March 1st followed by a half-day of presentations on Saturday, March 2nd. Additional vendor information can be found here.

FLAAPM group room rate is $149/night. Make reservations over the phone prior to Wednesday, February 6th by calling (866) 934-7467 to receive the group rate.


Hotel parking fees will be waived for all attendees, even those not staying on site.


Sponsorship:

There is the opportunity to sponsor a meal or break, as well as the evening social events and audio/visual equipment. Sponsorship will include mention in the meeting agenda and a short presentation slot if desired.

Continuing Education:

The meeting program will cover topics of radiation therapy, diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, or medical health physics.  A draft agenda is included in this announcement, and updates will be posted at the FLAAPM web site when applicable.  The meeting agenda will include one hour of medical errors CE and one hour of HIV/AIDS CE credits.

 

FLAAPM has applied for CAMPEP accreditation of up to 10 medical physics CE credit hours and 10 hours from the state of FL.
